Class Rooms

VCP has spacious, ventilated, well furnished, modernized and IT enabled classrooms which creates healthy atmosphere for the students and are well lit and echo- proof to facilitate the teaching-learning process. Classrooms are designed for conventional lectures and group discussions. These facilities create an ideal atmosphere well suited for teaching-learning pedagogy.

Laboratories

In addition to state-of-the-art machinery, the Vaageswari College of Pharmacy labs have sufficient glassware and tools to give students practical training to help them succeed in their profession. Our Institution is having sufficient numbers of labs for providing B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy, Pharm. D, and Pharm. D (PB) training in all practical needs of pharmacy. All labs are equipped with enough work space as per the standard specifications of JNTUH, as well as PCI- New Delhi. Safety is the primary criteria in Pharma laboratories, all of our labs are well equipped with safety measures.

PHARMACEUTICS & INDUSTRIAL PHARMACY LABS

The department is well equipped with the latest instruments to meet academic achievements. The labs are established with Tablet punching single and multiple, Capsule filling, Ampoule filling, sealing and washing machines, Ointment filling machine, Tablet disintegration and dissolution test apparatus, Water Bath with temperature regulator, Rotary Vacuum Evaporator, Brookfield Viscometer, etc. ,
The Department also features a R&D facilities for preparing tablets, liquid orals, capsules, and the machines required to perform evaluation parameters like pre-formulation to finished product analysis.

PHARMACOLOGY LABS

Where every pharmacy ward can learn clinical evaluation of drug moieties, where the student can learn pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of drugs on the living systems. This department is filled with sophisticated machinery such as Microscopes, Dissection trays and boards, Actophotometer, Convulsiometer, Stimulators, Pole climbing apparatus, Plethysmograph, Analgesiometer, Muscle electrodes, Semi Autoanalyse, ELISA Plate Reader and Washer, UV-VIS Spectrophotometer (Shimadzu), Tissue Ultra Homogenizer, Inverted Microscope for Cell Lines, Defreezer (-20°C), Neurological Behavior Assessment Instrument., etc.

PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY & ANALYSIS LABS

The branch which deals with qualitative and quantitative analysis of impurities present in Drugs and API. Different analytical methods by using sophisticated instruments which involves in the process of separation, identification, purification, determination, quantification and structural elucidation of chemical entities. In addition to state-of-the-art machinery the department has equipped to do from traditional to advanced microoven synthesis along with Titrimetric analysis, Colorimetric analysis, Spectral analysis and thermal analysis with sophisticated instrument like Microoven, HPLC with UV Detector, UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Karl-Fischer Apparatus, Flourimeter, Flame Photometer, etc.

PHARMACOGNOSY LAB

Pharmacognosy is probably the oldest of the modern sciences that involves the study of the physical, chemical, biochemical and biological properties of natural drugs, including the search for new drugs from natural sources. The subject is one of the core branches in the pharmacy curriculum and therefore found an important niche in the Vaageswari College of Pharmacy. It is approved by all the major regulatory bodies in India. There are several ongoing activities, including isolation of bioactive compounds, developing herbal formulations, standardizing herbal raw materials. Department works on phytochemical studies and develops screening methods for natural products.

MICROBIOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY LABS

The study of microscopic creatures that cannot be seen with the naked eye is known as microbiology. A microbiologist is a scientist who studies bacteria and other microscopic creatures. This means that microbiology is dedicated to the study of various species including bacteria, fungi, viruses and archaea, as well as parasitic worms, in their habitats. While medical microbiology is mostly concerned with the study of bacteria that are both beneficial and harmful to human and animals, it also include the study of germs that are favorable to human health. Biotechnology deals with methods of changing living organisms according to human needs using rDNA technology and genetic engineering, extending back to the domestication of animals, agriculture, and hybridization.

Library

The library established with more than 2792 titles, 13121 volumes of renowned National and International authors. For the research activities, our library also has huge number of National and International Journals along with e-journals. To meet the current scenario of digitalization process our library associated with National Digital Library of India (NDL), DELNET and Micromedex Drug information software (exclusively for Pharm. D and Pharm. D (PB) Students for ADR studies) J Gate, Employment News Paper and some of the Rare books.

Medicinal Garden

Medicinal plants have played an important role in human healthcare as the essential ingredients of traditional medicines for thousands of years. Botanical gardens worldwide play a crucial role in the conservation, cultivation and utilization of plant species, and research activities related to ecology, taxonomy, systematic, biotechnology, etc. Medicinal plant gardens have played a significant role in education and research of plant species used for medicinal purposes. Our Institution is having medicinal garden with variety of medicinal plants as per the requirements of pharmacy curriculum. Where, we are maintaining endangering plant species.

Auditorium

Our college Auditorium is with centralized air condition system which is equipped with Public address system, Digital Projector, Digital Audio Visual systems etc, which can accommodate 500 seating capacity. Our auditorium ensures acoustics resonate all around the room with strength and clarity so our students can hear well from anywhere. It has to be equally important for the students on every seat to hear and enjoy the performance.

Canteen

The college canteen features vast facilities. The students and employees of the college are provided with the hygiene and quality South and North Indian food as well as confectionaries. There is a spacious kitchen in the campus canteen, and culinary employees take particular care to serve nutritious and delicious cuisine for students and staff. Reverse osmosis purified water is used to prepare food items and drinking purpose.

Transportation

A complete and self-contained Transportation department is established in our college with buses to facilitate travel for students and employees from diverse locations. This service is available to provide an effortless and secure travel. Students can travel between various corners of the city thanks to the presence of 19 buses provided by the society. According to the needs of students, there will be an increase in the number of buses.
